As an annual event in BDO Norway, all auditors involved with public and other large corporations participate in “Allmenninteressedagen” – an internal seminar focusing on matters specifically relevant to public companies and their auditors
Lars André Gjerdrum and Martine J. Skoftedalen from Aabø-Evensen & Co were invited to speak about the obligation on listed companies’ to publish a prospectus or an information document and to prepare pro forma financial information in the event of significant transactions.
“We would like to thank BDO Norway for the opportunity to participate in this event, and we are looking forward to next year’s event” says Lars André Gjerdrum, Partner at Aabø-Evensen & Co. He adds that “as a boutique M&A and Capital Markets law firm, we work closely with a wide range of public companies and investment banks and are continuously involved in different types of transactions where a prospectus or information document is required, including, inter alia, as a result of a significant acquisition or disposal of business or in connection with capital market transactions such as IPOs, rights issues or private placement of shares. Our philosophy is that in order to give our clients the best advice, our advisors should all have a broader knowledge base than their strict professional expertise as lawyers. We are glad to share our legal knowledge with the BDO auditors on this matter and at the same time learn from their experience in a setting like Allmenninteressedagen”.
